    High-performance materials: silicon carbide

    Since its origins in the synthetic graphite business, materials specialist Mersen has steadily extended its scope, developing prime expertise in materials capable of withstanding tough conditions, including high temperature and corrosive environments.

    One such material is silicon carbide, which holds exceptional potential in many major applications. This material took on special importance for Mersen with the acquisition of Boostec in 2010.
